In a survey of larval trematodes infecting Cerithium ornata Adams, a snail from the mangrove swamps and fishponds in Navotas, Rizal, Philippines, two species of cercariae were found. One belonged to Acanthoparyphium paracharadrii Velasquez, 1964. The other, a megalurous cercaria, was found experimentally to be the larva of a new philophthalmid described as Cloacitrema philippinum sp. n. About 3% of 3,375 snails examined harbored the early developmental stages in their digestive glands. Encysted…
The life cycle of Cloacitrema michiganensis McIntosh, 1938 (Trematoda: Philophthalmidae).
TLDR
Experimental infections of Cloacitrema michiganensis were established in chicks by inoculation per cloaca with excysted metacercariae and resembled those of Parorchis acanthus, a philophthalmid infecting C. californica.

TLDR
Two new species of cercariae infecting the freshwater snail, Paludomus tanschauricus from Malabar, Kerala are described, characterized by a disproportionately large tail.
