A physician reports on the state of HIV diagnosis and therapy in Haiti and the clinical successes experienced despite the constraints of poverty. Complications such as tuberculosis and other parasitic and infectious diseases common among the region's poor in Haiti are also highlighted. Concluding comments report on the positive effect of even small diagnostic and therapeutic victories for patients.
