We construct black hole solutions to Einstein-Born-Infeld gravity with a cosmological constant. Since an elliptic function appears in the solutions for the metric, we construct horizons numerically. The causal structure of these solutions differs drastically from their counterparts in Einstein-Maxwell gravity with a cosmological constant. The charged de-Sitter black holes can have up to three horizons and the charged anti-de Sitter black hole can have one or two depending on the parameters…

Black hole solution of Einstein-Born-Infeld-Yang-Mills theory

A new four-dimensional black hole solution of Einstein-Born-Infeld-Yang-Mills theory is constructed; several degenerated forms of the black hole solution are presented. The related thermodynamical

Cosmological Born-Infeld gravity coupled to Born-Infeld electrodynamics

We present a detailed study about static spherically symmetric and electrically charged black hole solutions with non-zero cosmological constant Λ. We study the Eddingtoninspired Born-Infeld (known

Thermodynamics of Einstein-Born-Infeld black holes with negative cosmological constant

We study the thermodynamics associated to topological black hole solutions of AdS gravity coupled to nonlinear electrodynamics (Born-Infeld) in any dimension, using a background-independent

Non-supersymmetric attractors in Born-Infeld black holes with a cosmological constant

We investigate the attractor mechanism for spherically symmetric extremal black holes in Einstein-Born-Infeld-dilaton theory of gravity in four-dimensions, in the presence of a cosmological constant.

Dyonic Born-Infeld black hole in 4D Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity

The action of 4D Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity coupled to Born-Infeld electromagnetic fields is given via the Kaluza-Klein process. Dyonic black hole solution of the theory is presented. The metric

Black hole solutions coupled to Born–Infeld electrodynamics with derivative corrections

We investigate black hole solutions in the Einstein–Born–Infeld system. We clarify the role played by derivative corrections to the Born–Infeld (BI) action. The qualitative differences from the case

Exact black hole solutions with nonlinear electrodynamic field

We construct exact black hole solutions to Einstein gravity with nonlinear electrodynamic field. In these solutions, there are in general four parameters. They are physical mass, electric charge,

Dyonic (A)dS black holes in Einstein-Born-Infeld theory in diverse dimensions

A bstractWe study Einstein-Born-Infeld gravity and construct the dyonic (A)dS planar black holes in general even dimensions, that carry both the electric charge and magnetic fluxes along the planar

Gravitational perturbation and quasi-normal modes of charged black holes in Einstein–Born–Infeld gravity

Born–Infeld electrodynamics has attracted considerable interest due to its relation to strings and D-branes. In this paper the gravitational perturbations of electrically charged black holes in

Solitons and black holes in Einstein-Born-Infeld-dilaton theory

Static spherically symmetric asymptotically flat solutions to the $U(1)$ Born-Infeld theory coupled to gravity and to a dilaton are investigated. The dilaton enters in such a way that the theory is

Thermodynamics of black holes in anti-de Sitter space

The Einstein equations with a negative cosmological constant admit black hole solutions which are asymptotic to anti-de Sitter space. Like black holes in asymptotically flat space, these solutions

Black holes with unusual topology

Einstein's equations with a negative cosmological constant admit solutions which are asymptotically anti\char21{}de Sitter space. Matter fields in anti\char21{}de Sitter space can be in stable

Dirac-Born-Infeld Action from Dirichlet Sigma Model

In a recent paper we discussed, among other things, the effect of duality transformations on the open bosonic string theory. Namely, we conjectured that a macroscopic object, the D-brane, effectively

Cosmological Event Horizons, Thermodynamics, and Particle Creation

It is shown that the close connection between event horizons and thermodynamics which has been found in the case of black holes can be extended to cosmological models with a repulsive cosmological

It is shown that this invariant covariantizes and geometrizes certain forms of "quasilocal mass" introduced and discussed in the literature, in particular, Misner's mass in spherical symmetry and Taub's "mass" in plane symmetry.
