We study leptogenesis in three different realisations of the type Ib seesaw mechanism, where the effective masses of the neutrinos are obtained by the spontaneous symmetry breaking of two different Higgs doublets. In the minimal type Ib seesaw model, where two right-handed neutrinos form a Dirac mass, we show that it is impossible to produce the correct baryon asymmetry, even including a pseudo-Dirac mass splitting. In an extended type Ib seesaw model, with a third very heavy Majorana right…

Brief on Dark Matter in the Type Ib Seesaw Model: a GeV-scale Dirac neutrino portal
The type Ib seesaw, as an alternative explanation to the origin of neutrino mass, provides a new intriguing way to connect the neutrino physics to cosmology. In this proceeding, we consider a minimal

Testing the low scale seesaw and leptogenesis

Leptogenesis in unified theories with Type II see-saw
In some classes of flavour models based on unified theories with a type I see-saw mechanism, the prediction for the mass of the lightest right-handed neutrino is in conflict with the lower bound from
Type II leptogenesis and the neutrino mass scale
We discuss the effect of the neutrino mass scale on baryogenesis via the out-of-equilibrium decay of the lightest right-handed (s)neutrinos in type II see–saw models. We calculate the type II
Low-scale leptogenesis with three heavy neutrinos
A bstractLeptogenesis induced by the oscillations of GeV-scale neutrinos provides a minimal and testable explanation of the baryon asymmetry of the Universe. In this work we extend previous studies
Neutrino Mass Models and Leptogenesis
In this talk we show how a natural neutrino mass hierarchy can follow from the type I see-saw mechanism, and a natural neutrino mass degeneracy from the type II see-saw mechanism, where the bi-large
Precision study of GeV-scale resonant leptogenesis

Minimal seesaw extension for neutrino mass and mixing, leptogenesis and dark matter: FIMPzillas through the right-handed neutrino portal
We propose a minimal seesaw extension to simultaneously account for realistic neutrino mass and mixing, the baryon asymmetry of the Universe via leptogenesis and a viable dark matter relic density,
Heavy neutrinos in particle physics and cosmology
Neutrinos are the only particles in the Standard Model of particle physics that have only been observed with left handed chirality to date. If right handed neutrinos exist, they would not only
Flavour-dependent leptogenesis with sequential dominance
We study thermal leptogenesis in classes of neutrino mass models based on the seesaw mechanism with three right-handed neutrinos and sequential right-handed neutrino dominance. The flavour-dependent
Hidden from view: Neutrino masses, dark matter, and TeV-scale leptogenesis in a neutrinophilic two-Higgs-doublet model
We consider a simple extension of the Standard Model providing dark matter and a TeV-scale seesaw mechanism that also allows for viable leptogenesis. In addition to the Standard Model degrees of
