The length-weight relationship and condition factor of one hundred juvenile Oreochromis niloticus in Sanni Luba Fish Farm Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State were investigated. The value of the regression co-efficient obtained for the length-body weight relationship for the male was 3.14, while that for the female was 2.90 and for the combined sexes was 3.10. This suggests an isometric growth form in all the specimens sampled. There was no significant statistical difference (p>0.05) in the male and female…

Length-Weight relationship and condition factor of tilapia species grown in marine and fresh water ponds

The study revelead that farming of these tilapia species in FSSW can be feasible if water quality parameters are properly monitored and the regression coefficient "b" exhibit negative allometric growth in FW and positive allometry growth in F SSW for both species.

Length-weight relationship, condition factor, length at first maturity and sex ratio of Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus in Lake Naivasha, Kenya

The results showed that fish in the lake are in good condition with condition factor value above 1.0 and most of the fish had negative allometric growth.

Length-Weight Relationship and Condition Factor of Mugil Cephalus and Oreochromis Niloticus from a Tidal Creek in the Niger Delta, Nigeria

Length-weight relationship and condition factor are important parameters for assessing the health condition and also important for understanding the life cycle of fish species and contributes to adequate management of these species and, therefore, to the maintenance of equilibrium in the ecosystem.

Length-weight relationship and condition factor of Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus fed farm-made and commercial tilapia diet

The value of the regression co-efficient b obtained for the length-weight relationships suggests an isometric growth of the cultured fish in all the dietary treatments, which will be suitable for commercial production of O. niloticus.

Comparison of body length-weight relationship and condition factor for Nile tilapia ( Oreochromis niloticus ) cultured in two different climatic conditions in Tanzania

This study compared length-weight relationship and condition factor of male Nile tilapia raised in two districts experiencing different climatic conditions in Tanzania, Mbarali and Mufindi. Fish were

2 Abstract: The studies on length-weight relationships (LWR), condition factors (K) and sex-ratio of Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus in Wadi Hanifah, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia was conducted from

Length-weight relationship, condition factor and size composition of Periophthalmus barbarus (Linneaus 1766 ) in New Calabar River, Nigeria

A study on the length-weight relationship, condition factor and size composition of Periophthalmus barbarus in New Calabar River Nigeria revealed a length range of 4.1-14,2cm mean and weight of 0.70-39.62g mean, which was negatively allometric.

Natural diets and length-weight relationship of Brycinus macrolepidotus in lower Ogun River, Akomoje, Ogun state

Result of stomach content suggests omnivorous feed habit as diet of Brycinus macrolepidotus in Lower Ogun River, Nigeria was higher during the dry season and onset of the rains than at the peak of the rainfall.

Length-weight relationship and relative condition factor of Schizothorax eurystomus Kessler, 1872 from Fergana valley

The general results showed positive allometric growth (b>3) exhibited by the species and there was a significant difference among the sexes.

Length-Weight Relationships of the Pond-Cultured Spotted Barb (Puntius binotatus )
