Strain PON10(T) is a yellow-pigmented, Gram-positive, aerobic, motile, rod-shaped bacterium isolated from the Pindari glacier of the Indian Himalayas. The cell-wall peptidoglycan contained DL-diaminobutyric acid as the diamino acid. The predominant fatty acids were anteiso-C(15:0), anteiso-C(17:0) and iso-C(16:0) and the major isoprenoid quinones were MK-10 and MK-11. Based on the above characteristics, strain PON10(T) was assigned to the genus Leifsonia. blast sequence similarity results…

On the basis of phylogenetic position, physiological and chemotaxonomic properties, strain 2SbT represent a novel species of the genus Leifsonia, for which the name Leifonia lichenia sp.
Leifsonia flava sp. nov., a novel actinobacterium isolated from the rhizosphere of Aquilegia viridiflora
TLDR
The strain was identified as a novel species of the genus Leifsonia judging by the coryneform morphology, peptidoglycans based upon 2,4-diaminobutyric acid, principal phospholipids phosphatidylglycerol and diphosph atidyl glycerol, predominant fatty acids of major menaquinone MK-11, and a DNA G + C base composition of 68.7 mol%,.

Leifsonia psychrotolerans sp. nov., a psychrotolerant species of the family Microbacteriaceae from Livingston Island, Antarctica.
TLDR
Physiological and biochemical tests clearly differentiated strain LI1(T) from L. kafniensis, and a novel cold-tolerant species within the genus Leifsonia is proposed: LeIFsonia psychrotolerans sp.
Diaminobutyricimonas aerilata gen. nov., sp. nov., a novel member of the family Microbacteriaceae isolated from an air sample in Korea
TLDR
Based on phenotypic and genotypic findings, strain 6408J-67T represents a novel species of a new genus within the family Microbacteriaceae, for which the name Diaminobutyricimonasaerilata gen. nov., sp.
Erratum to: Homoserinimonas aerilata gen. nov., sp. nov., a novel member of the family Microbacteriaceae isolated from an air sample in Korea
TLDR
Phylogenetic analysis and phenotypic characteristics support the proposal of a new genus and a novel species, with the name Homoserinimonas aerilata gen. nov, which is supposed to be B2β type.
Reclassification of Leifsonia ginsengi (Qiu et al. 2007) as Herbiconiux ginsengi gen. nov., comb. nov. and description of Herbiconiux solani sp. nov., an actinobacterium associated with the phyllosphere of Solanum tuberosum L.
TLDR
Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that the new isolates and L. ginsengi DSM 19088(T) formed a lineage at the genus level and this finding was supported by chemotaxonomic characterization.
Chryseoglobus frigidaquae gen. nov., sp. nov., a novel member of the family Microbacteriaceae.
TLDR
A phylogenetic tree based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that strain CW1(T) formed an evolutionary lineage within the radiation enclosing members of the family Microbacteriaceae and was related to, but distant from,Members of the genera Microcella and Yonghaparkia.
Paenibacillus glacialis sp. nov., isolated from the Kafni glacier of the Himalayas, India.
TLDR
Based on the phylogenetic analysis, chemotaxonomic characteristics and other phenotypic traits, strain KFC91T was assigned to the genus Paenibacillus and the name proposed is PaenIBacillus glacialis sp.

TLDR
A Gram-positive, rod-shaped, non-motile bacterium, designated strain wged11T, was isolated from the root of ginseng, and its taxonomic position was established using a polyphasic approach, showing that this organism formed a robust clade with recognized species of the genus Leifsonia.
