Twenty-eight cases of type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) without any cardiovascular disease were recruited from the Department of Metabolic-Endocrine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia / Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital, Jakarta.
