Abstract

1. Lead exposure, one of the oldest occupational hazards, continues to be a problem. 2. The construction industries account for the highest proportion of occupational exposures. 3. This case study found that removal of leaded paint by sanding may expose painters to lead levels above the PEL. 4. The informed occupational health nurse who "revisits" lead will be a valued team member in the identification and control of lead exposure.
