  • BACKGROUND/AIMS Portal vein thrombosis (PVT) after liver transplantation is a fatal complication. The risk factors for PVT after LDLT remain to be clarified. METHODOLOGY A total of 287 consecutive living donor liver transplantations have been performed. Some clinical parameters of the recipients with and without postoperative PVT were compared to analyze the risk factors for PVT. RESULTS A total of 20 recipients (7%) were complicated with PVT.
