Abstract The Chenque Formation in southeastern Argentina contains a diverse palynological assemblage, from which selected taxa from three families are herein described. A new genus Baumannipollis is erected to accommodate spinose, stephanocolporate pollen grains related to the family Malvaceae. Four new species belonging to the Malvaceae and Compositae are described.
