The data on morphology and systematics of Late Permian dicynodonts of Eastern Europe are considered. The taxonomic position of dicynodonts and probable evolutionary trends in their development are discussed.
The tetrapod fauna of the upper Permian Naobaogou Formation of China — 4 . the diversity of dicynodonts
The Permian dicynodont records were previously rare in North China, but many dicynodont specimens have been collected from the Naobaogou Formation in Daqingshan area, Nei Mongol since 2009. Among
Dicynodontids of Eastern Europe
TLDR
A reexamination of cranial morphological features in East European members of the family Dicynodontidae allows the assignment of DICynodon trautscholdi to a new genus, Fortunodon gen. nov, and corroborates the isolated position of Dicsynodon amalitzkii established by Sushkin (1926).
Permian anomodonts: Paleobiogeography and distribution of the group
In the Late Permian, higher anomodonts, dicynodonts, reached an almost global distribution. The wide distribution makes this group an important tool in Upper Permian biostratigraphy. Three
A comprehensive taxonomic revision of Dicynodon (Therapsida, Anomodontia) and its implications for dicynodont phylogeny, biogeography, and biostratigraphy
TLDR
A new phylogenetic analysis of Anomodontia reveals that “Dicynodon” is polyphyletic, necessitating taxonomic revision at the generic level, and new generic names are established for several species formerly included in DICynodon.
The cranial morphology, phylogenetic position and biogeography of the upper Permian dicynodont Compsodon helmoedi van Hoepen (Therapsida, Anomodontia)
Compsodon helmoedi is an obscure dicynodont originally described based on a single specimen from the upper Permian of the Karoo Basin. The discovery of three new specimens of Compsodon from the
Permian tetrapod extinction events
Abstract Four substantial tetrapod extinctions have been identified during the Permian, but only one of these is an apparent mass extinction. Analyses of global compilations of the family-level

Has the utility of Dicynodon for Late Permian terrestrial biostratigraphy been overstated
Dicynodont therapsids have long played an important role in global Late Permian and Triassic biostratigraphy, including recent studies of the effects of the extinction at the Permian-Triassic
A RE-EVALUATION OF THE GENUS TROPIDOSTOMA SEELEY
TLDR
It is concluded that the above species must be considered to be junior synonyms of Tropidostoma microtrema (Seeley), and the skull of the type of Cteniosaurus platyceps is described.
Phylogenetic analysis of Russian Permian dicynodonts (Therapsida: Anomodontia): implications for Permian biostratigraphy and Pangaean biogeography
TLDR
The phylogeny presented here suggests that the genus Dicynodon is paraphyletic, and there appears to be some endemism among Late Permian dicynodont faunas, but a Gondwanan origin is equally likely given the data at hand.
A proposed higher taxonomy of anomodont therapsids
A higher-level taxonomic framework for the Permo-Triassic anomodont therapsids (dicynodonts and their relatives) is presented in order to bring concordance between reconstructions of anomodont
The evolution of the palate in South African Anomodontia and its classificatory significance
TLDR
This dissertation aims to provide a history of the archaeology of the deposits of Carboniferous strata of Westphalian strata, which have been important for the development of determinants of infectious disease and its role in human evolution.
The most basal anomodont therapsid and the primacy of Gondwana in the evolution of the anomodonts
TLDR
The basal position of Anomocephalus, together with its South African occurrence, strongly supports the postulate that a Gondwanan distribution was ancestral for anomodonts.
