The technique of large–eddy simulation (LES) has been used to simulate and analyze the flow through a low–pressure turbine (LPT) cascade. The objective of this study is to demonstrate the capability of LES to predict flow separation and the associated losses, and to analyze the spatio-temporal dynamics of the unsteady separation process.
