Inguinal hernioplasty has always been one of the most commonly performed operations in clinical practice. In the last 15 years, thanks to the development of mini-invasive surgery, new video-endoscopic techniques for the treatment of inguinal hernia using trans-peritoneal (TAPP) and extraperitoneal (TEP) access have emerged.
