Abstract The seed damaging fly, Ophiomyia lantanae is a widespread agent that infests the fruits and seeds of Lantana camara . Its effectiveness in reducing seed dispersal or seedling recruitment has not been comprehensively tested. We determined the effects of O. lantanae damage on fruit removal rates of L. camara in a field study.
