Laccases (Benzenediol: oxygen oxidoreductase, E.C. 1.10.3.2) are enzymes belonging to the group of polyphenol oxidases which are monomeric, dimeric or tetrameric glycoproteins with copper atoms per monomer located at the catalytic site.
