In this paper, we report the novel electrical measurement for the label-free detection of C-reactive protein (CRP) using resonant frequency shift in the monolithic thin film cantilever of micromachined Pb(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O3 (PZT) which was fabricated with the composition of SiO2/Ta/Pt/PZT/Pt/SiO2 on silicon nitride (SiNx) supporting layer for the dual purpose of electrical self-excitation and sensing.
