Because several observing programs are under way in various spectral regimes to explore the Chandra Deep Field South (CDF-S), the value of local photometric standards is obvious. As part of an NOAO Survey Program to establish u'g'r'i'z' standard stars in the southern hemisphere, we have observed the central region of the CDF-S to create local standards for use by other investigators using these filters. As a courtesy, we present the CDF-S standards to the public now, although the main program… Expand
A Survey of Open Clusters in the u′g′r′i′z′ Filter System. III. Results for the Cluster NGC 188
The authors continue the series of papers describing the results of a photometric survey of open star clusters, primarily in the southern hemisphere, taken in the u'g'r'i'z' filter system. The entireExpand
A Survey of Open Clusters in the u′g′r′i′z′ Filter System. I. Results for NGC 2548 (M48)
We present initial results of a photometric survey of open star clusters, primarily in the southern hemisphere, taken in the u'g'r'i'z' filter system. While our entire observed sample covers moreExpand
Absolute Flux Calibration of the IRAC Instrument on the Spitzer Space Telescope using Hubble Space Telescope Flux Standards
The absolute flux calibration of the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) will be based on a set of stars observed by the Hubble and Spitzer Space Telescopes. In order to cross-calibrate the twoExpand
Post-merger Signatures of Red-sequence Galaxies in Rich Abell Clusters at $z\lesssim 0.1$
We have investigated the post-merger signatures of red-sequence galaxies in rich Abell clusters at $z \lesssim$ 0.1: A119, A2670, A3330 and A389. Deep images in u', g', r' and medium-resolutionExpand
GALAXY LUMINOSITY FUNCTION OF THE DYNAMICALLY YOUNG ABELL 119 CLUSTER: PROBING THE CLUSTER ASSEMBLY
We present the galaxy luminosity function (LF) of the Abell 119 cluster down to $M_r\sim-14$ mag based on deep images in the $u$-, $g$-, and $r$-bands taken by using MOSAIC II CCD mounted on theExpand
STELLAR LOCUS REGRESSION: ACCURATE COLOR CALIBRATION AND THE REAL-TIME DETERMINATION OF GALAXY CLUSTER PHOTOMETRIC REDSHIFTS
We present Stellar Locus Regression (SLR), a method of directly adjusting the instrumental broadband optical colors of stars to bring them into accord with a universal stellar color-color locus,Expand
The 2.5 m Telescope of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey
We describe the design, construction, and performance of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey telescope located at Apache Point Observatory. The telescope is a modified two-corrector Ritchey-Chretien designExpand
The Sloan Digital Sky Survey monitor telescope pipeline
The photometric calibration of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) is a multi-step process which involves data from three different telescopes: the 1.0-m telescope at the US Naval Observatory (USNO),Expand
