Lateral torsional buckling of rectangular, box, and I beams is considered. A set of kinematics developed by the authors which includes the effects of bending-bending coupling due to the Poisson effect is used. The governing differential equations for lateral-torsional buckling of composite beams subjected to equal end moments are derived based on these kinematic assumptions.
