Bulgular: Osmolalite (t= -4,209, p=0,000), aclik plazma glikozu (t= -2,606, p = 0.01) ve bel kalca orani (t=-2,193, p=0,03) degerleri koroner arter hastaligi tanisi olan hastalarda istatistik olarak anlamli duzeyde yuksek bulundu. Sonuc: Bu calisma sonuclarina gore hesaplanmis osmolalite koro- ner arter hastaligi ile iliskilidir. Anahtar sozcukler: BUN, koroner arter hastaligi, glikoz, osmolalite, sodyum Summary Objective: Some of the factors affecting serum osmolality are also known risk…

Association of classical risk factors and coronary artery disease in type 2 diabetic patients submitted to coronary angiography
TLDR
In T2DM subjects HbA1c tertiles were associated with progressively higher number of significant coronary lesions and glycemic control is progressively associated with number and extent of coronary lesions in patients with T2 DM.
INDICATORS OF DEHYDRATION AND HAEMOCONCENTRATION ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THE PREVALENCE AND SEVERITY OF CORONARY ARTERY DISEASE
TLDR
The results indicate that some of the markers of dehydration and haemoconcentration are associated significantly with the prevalence and severity of CAD, but the independence of these correlations is questioned.
Prevalence of coronary artery disease in a general population without suspicion of coronary artery disease: angiographic analysis of subjects aged 40 to 70 years referred for catheter ablation therapy.
TLDR
The values of all vessel scores evaluating the extent of critical and diffuse coronary vessel alterations were very low in patients affected with coronary artery disease, indicating a low degree of diffuse alteration of the vessel wall.
CKD and cardiovascular disease in the Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities (ARIC) study: interactions with age, sex, and race.
TLDR
The associations of eGFR and ACR with cardiovascular events were largely similar, with some quantitative interactions, in age, sex, and racial subgroups, generally supporting universal thresholds of GFR andACR for CKD definition/staging.
Chronic Kidney Disease as a Coronary Artery Disease Risk Equivalent
TLDR
CKD itself is now considered an independent CVD risk factor and a coronary artery disease (CAD) equivalent for all-cause mortality and all patients at risk for CAD should be evaluated for kidney disease.

Serum Osmolality is Elevated in Metabolic Syndrome Cases
TLDR
This study aimed to investigate the relation between MetS and serum osmolality and found that microalbuminuria and GFR have already been related with MetS.

TLDR
The Hyperosmolal food hypothesis encompasses all the factors involved under one heading and, that is, the generation of heat in the body, and the incidence of atherosclerosis goes down with increasing intake of water.
