This study examine the knowledge and practice of female circumcision among potential women in south west Nigeria. Four hypotheses were formulated based on the variables of place of residence, level of awareness, level of educational and religion. The quantitative data used were obtained from the 2008 NDHS; Data analysis involved the use of descriptive statistics of frequency and percentages while the inferential statistics of chi-square test were used.
