title={Knowledge Graph-based Neurodegenerative Diseases and Diet Relationship Discovery},
author={Yi Nian and Jingcheng Du and Larry Bu and Fang Li and Xinyue Hu and Yuji Zhang and Cui Tao},
To date, there are no effective treatments for most neurodegenerative diseases. However, certain foods may be associated with these diseases and bring an opportunity to prevent or delay neurodegenerative progression. Our objective is to construct a knowledge graph for neurodegenerative diseases using literature mining to study their relations with diet. We collected biomedical annotations (Disease, Chemical, Gene, Species, SNP&Mutation) in the abstracts from 4,300 publications relevant to both…

The Development and Applications of Food Knowledge Graphs in the Food Science and Industry
This is the first comprehensive review on food knowledge graphs in the food science and industry, and provides a brief introduction of knowledge graphs, and reviews the evolution of food knowledge organization mainly from food classification, food ontology to food knowledge graph.

Polyphenols: Multipotent Therapeutic Agents in Neurodegenerative Diseases
Although current polyphenol researches have limited impact on clinical practice, they have strong evidence and testable hypothesis to contribute clinical advances and drug discovery towards age-related neurological disorders.
Nutrition, Brain Aging, and Neurodegeneration
It is important to determine what methods can be used today to increase healthy aging, forestall the onset of age-related neurodegenerative diseases, and create conditions favorable to obtaining a “longevity dividend” in both financial and human terms.
PubTator central: automated concept annotation for biomedical full text articles
The full text results in PTC significantly increase biomedical concept coverage and it is anticipated this expansion will both enhance existing downstream applications and enable new use cases.
Recent advances in biomedical literature mining
The goal of this paper is to provide a review of the recent advances in BLM from both communities and inspire new research directions.
Omega-3 fatty acids and dementia.
More than a dozen epidemiological studies have reported that reduced levels or intake of omega-3 fatty acids or fish consumption is associated with increased risk for age-related cognitive decline or
node2vec: Scalable Feature Learning for Networks
In node2vec, an algorithmic framework for learning continuous feature representations for nodes in networks, a flexible notion of a node's network neighborhood is defined and a biased random walk procedure is designed, which efficiently explores diverse neighborhoods.
Visualizing Data using t-SNE
We present a new technique called “t-SNE” that visualizes high-dimensional data by giving each datapoint a location in a two or three-dimensional map. The technique is a variation of Stochastic
