Discoidal substrates for purified human lecithin-cholesterol acyltransferase were prepared with human apolipoprotein A-I, cholesterol, and egg phosphatidylcholine (PC) or dipalmitoyl PC, including dihexadecyl PC in various proportions as an enzymatically inert dilutor of the interfacial PC substrate.
