To determine the risk of gastric remnant cancer according to the type of surgical reconstruction, the distal two-thirds of the glandular stomach was resected in male Wistar rats, followed by gastroduodenostomy (Billroth I anastomosis) or gastrojejunostomy (Billroth II anastomosis).
