A revision of the Palaearctic Pimeliini (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae): a comparative analysis and systematic position of Eastern European and Asian taxa with dorso-lateral eyes

A taxonomic review of tenebrionid platyopoid genera of the subfamily Pimeliinae from Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan is given and the Habrobates genus group (latter four genera) within the nominotypical subtribe is proposed.

Diversity and Community Pattern of Darkling Beetles (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae) along an Ecological Gradient in Arid Mongolia

Diversity pattern of tenebrionids was significantly influenced by climate conditions, and Darkling beetle community structure as revealed by Nonmetric Multidimensional Scaling correlated with mean daily temperature and average monthly rainfall, as well as with plant community structure and plant diversity.

World Catalogue of Hypophlaeini Billberg, 1820 (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae: Diaperinae)

Abstract. This catalogue includes all valid genus and species-group names of Hypophlaeini (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae), their available synonyms, and misspellings. Type depository, distribution, and

Diversity of beetles (Coleoptera) in natural and planted saxaul forests (Haloxylon ammodendron) in the South Gobi Desert, Mongolia

The planted plots and corresponding natural plots within each forest were more similar to each other in species composition and abundance than between forests, and the higher values of diversity indices and species richness in the planted plots can be explained by the presence of rare species.

A New Species of Corticeus Piller & Mitterpacher from Turkey, with an Updated Key to Turkish Species Belonging to This Genus (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae)

An updated identification key to the currently known Corticeus species of Turkey is proposed and a new synonymy is established: C. fasciatus (Fabricius, 1790) = C. rufobasalis (Pic, 1917), syn.

Catalogue of the World Gonocephalum Solier, 1834 (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae: Opatrini). Part 2. Comments, Additions and References

The second part of the world catalogue of Gonocephalum Solier, 1834 contains the list of the type species preserved in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, the listOf the papers on Gonocephalum species and additional data for 95 species and subspecies.

In memory of G. S. Medvedev (1931–2009)

His series of papers on the taxonomy, biology, and eco-morphological adaptations of darkling beetles of Turkmenia was awarded the first prize at the annual ZIN competition for the best scientific publication in 1963.

Home range size in two darkling beetle species (Coleoptera, Tenebrionidae) from Southern Kazakhstan

The repeated collecting of marked darkling beetle species, including the diurnal species Tentyria gigas and the nocturnal species Cyphogenia gibba from Kazakhstan demonstrated that their home ranges

Community organization and species richness of ants (Hymenoptera/Formicidae) in Mongolia along an ecological gradient from steppe to Gobi desert

This is the first comprehensive study of ant communities in Mongolia, conducted along a north‐to‐south gradient in climate, and examined ants’ distribution patterns, assessed the impact of climatic parameters on community structure and species diversity and investigated the influence of the corresponding communities of plants.
