The World Health Organization (WHO) has reclassified ‘odontogenic keratocyst’ (OKC) to ‘keratocystic odontogenic tumour’ (KCOT) in 2005. Currently, this tumour is classified as a benign neoplasm of odontogenic origin and not as a cyst.
