Kashaev--Reshetikhin Invariants of Links

  title={Kashaev--Reshetikhin Invariants of Links},
author={Kai-Chieh Chen and Calvin McPhail-Snyder and Scott Morrison and Noah Snyder},
Kashaev and Reshetikhin previously described a way to define holonomy invariants of knots using quantum sl2 at a root of unity. These are generalized quantum invariants depend both on a knot K and a representation of the fundamental group of its complement into SL2(C); equivalently, we can think of KR(K) as associating to each knot a function on (a slight generalization of) its character variety. In this paper we clarify some details of their construction. In particular, we show that for K a… Expand

Kashaev-Reshetikhin Invariants for SL2(C) at Roots of Unity
Author(s): Chen, Kai-Chieh | Advisor(s): Reshetikhin, Nicolai | Abstract: An important milestone of the theory of knot invariants is the Reshetikhin-Turaev functor introduced in [RT]. ThisExpand
G-links invariants, Markov traces and the semi-cyclic Uqsl2-modules
Kashaev and Reshetikhin proposed a generalization of the Reshetikhin-Turaev link invariant construction to tangles with a flat connection in a principal G-bundle over the complement of the tangle.Expand
Holonomy braidings , biquandles and quantum invariants of links with SL 2 ( C ) flat connections
R. Kashaev and N. Reshetikhin introduced the notion of holonomy braiding extending V. Turaev’s homotopy braiding to describe the behavior of cyclic representations of the unrestricted quantum groupExpand
Modified quantum dimensions and re-normalized link invariants
Abstract In this paper we give a re-normalization of the Reshetikhin–Turaev quantum invariants of links, using modified quantum dimensions. In the case of simple Lie algebras these modified quantumExpand
Cyclic surgery, degrees of maps of character curves, and volume rigidity for hyperbolic manifolds
This paper proves a theorem about Dehn surgery using a new theorem about PSL2C character varieties. Confirming a conjecture of Boyer and Zhang, this p aper shows that a small hyperbolic knot in aExpand
Plane curves associated to character varieties of 3-manifolds
Consider a compact 3-manifold M with boundary consisting of a single torus. The papers [CS1, CS2, CGLS] discuss the variety of characters of SL2(C) representations of zl(M), and some of the ways inExpand
In this paper we compute the trace field for the family of hyperbolic twist knots. We describe this field as a simple extension ℚ(z0) where z0 is a specified root of a particular irreducibleExpand
Groups from link diagrams
This thesis is an attempt to generalise the methods of the Wirtinger presentation for obtaining groups which are invariants of a classical link. It is closely allied to the ideas of Joyce onExpand
The SL(2,C)-character varieties of torus knots
Let G be the fundamental group of the complement of the torus knot of type (m, n). This has a presentation G = ‹x, y | xm‪‪= yⁿ›. We find the geometric description of the character variety X(G) ofExpand
Invariants of tangles with flat connections in their complements.I. Invariants and holonomy R-matrices
The notion of holonomy $R$-matrices is introduced. It is shown how to define invariants of tangles with flat connections in a principle $G$-bundle of the complement of a tangle using holonomyExpand
