The purpose of this study was: a) Determine the differences among injured and noninjured trampolinists with regard to kinetic data collected; b) Determine if there were any associations between the type of injuries sustained and the kinetic data collected. A one year retrospective analysis of kinetic test results and medical records of a group of high performance trampolinists was performed. Fifteen participants between the ages of 10–20 participated in the study (9 males and 6 females). 40% of…

A Finite Element Model for Estimation of Contact Dynamics During a Jumping Movement on a Trampoline
TLDR
The observed rigid and erect body posture suggested that the hip and knee extensors played important roles in minimizing energy absorption and maximizing energy generation during the trampoline takeoff.

The Incidence of Injuries in Elite Junior Figure Skaters
TLDR
Programs to improve postural alignment, flexibility, and strength, especially during the asynchronous period of bone and soft tissue development, should be instituted to prevent and reduce overuse syndromes.
Orthopedic injuries associated with backyard trampoline use in children.
Physiological profile and incidence of injuries among elite figure skaters.
TLDR
It is indicated that ice figure skating is associated with high aerobic power, and Danish skaters spend large amounts of time on training, including warm-up and stretching, despite the amount of training and the intensity of ice-skating programmes.
Trampoline Injuries of the Cervical Spine
TLDR
It is concluded that safety guidelines and warnings are inadequate and recommendations for a ban on the use of trampolines by children by children are supported.
Injuries in a Modern Dance Company
TLDR
This comprehensive management program effectively decreased the incidence of new cases and lost time in a modern dance organization and both dancers and management strongly support its continuance.
Occurrence of acute lower limb injuries in artistic gymnasts in relation to event and exercise phase
TLDR
By its nature, gymnastics predisposes to acute injuries, but up to 75% are mild or moderate, and special attention should be paid to the floor exercise, especially the landing phase.
Trampoline-related injuries.
Two hundred and seventeen patients who had sustained an injury during the recreational use of a trampoline were managed in the emergency room of Logan Regional Hospital in Logan, Utah, from January
Treatment of complete open medial subtalar dislocation with an external fixateur: a case report
TLDR
The case of a 14-year-old male who was jumping on a trampoline, slipped off and sustained a complete compound medial subtalar dislocation is reported, which represents only 0.1% of all dislocations.
Physiological testing of the high-performance athlete
The purpose of physiological testing (J.D. MacDougall and H.A. Wenger) what do tests measure? (H.J. Green) testing strength and power (D.G. Sale) testing aerobic power (J.S. Thoden) testing anaerobic
