The Japanese import known as JIT, or Just-In-Time Management, has been receiving a great amount of attention recently. Although no one has published any figures on exactly how many companies are currently using or plan to use JIT, a review of the business periodicals index reveals that a total of 168 articles were published on the topic of JIT in the past two years (1987 and 1988).
