In this paper, we investigate the problem of minimizing the long-term energy cost for an Internet data center (IDC) in deregulated electricity markets. Specifically, IDC operators intend to minimize energy cost by scheduling workload and battery jointly, which can fully exploit the temporal diversity of electricity price.
