The Jianshangou Bed is a set of fossil-bearing sedimentary interlayers of the basal volcano-sedimentary deposits of Yixian Formation in western Liaoning. It is rich in volcanic composition and consists of upper and lower grey-black shale, basal sandy conglomerate, top tuffaceous sandstone, middle massive silty mudstone and siltstone, as well as andesite, with a thickness of 28-95 m. The Jianshangou Bed is famous all over the world for its bearing early birds, angiosperms and feathered dinosaurs…

40Ar/39Ar dating of Lujiatun Bed (Jehol Group) in Liaoning, northeastern China
The Lujiatun bed of the Yixian Formation is famous for its extraordinary preservation of three-dimensional fossils and its implication for the most dramatic catastrophic mass mortality event in the
Searching for a non-marine Jurassic/Cretaceous boundary in northeastern China
The well-developed Jurassic and Cretaceous strata of northeastern China are mostly of non-marine origin. The definition of the nonmarine Jurassic/Cretaceous (J/K) boundary in northeastern China is
