Context. Previous molecular gas observations at arcsecond-scale resolution of the Seyfert 2 galaxy M 51 suggest the presence of a dense circumnuclear rotating disk, which may be the reservoir for fueling the active nucleus and obscures it from direct view in the optical. However, our recent interferometric CO(3-2) observations show a hint of a velocity gradient perpendicular to the rotating disk, which suggests a more complex structure than previously thought. Aims. To image the putative… Expand

Molecular Gas and Radio Jet Interaction: a Case Study of the Seyfert 2 AGN M51
We observed multiple CO transition lines and the HCN(1-0) line at ∼ 1′′ (∼ 34 pc) or higher resolution toward the Seyfert 2 nucleus of M51 using the IRAM Plateau de Bure Interferometer (PdBI) and theExpand
The fast molecular outflow in the Seyfert galaxy IC 5063 as seen by ALMA
We use high-resolution (0.5 arcsec) CO(2−1) observations performed with the Atacama Large Millimetre/submillimetre Array to trace the kinematics of the molecular gas in the Seyfert 2 galaxy IC 5063.Expand
ALMA resolves the remarkable molecular jet and rotating wind in the extremely radio-quiet galaxy NGC 1377
Submillimetre and millimetre observations are important in probing the properties of the molecular gas and dust around obscured active galactic nuclei (AGNs) and their feedback. With veryExpand
A precessing molecular jet signaling an obscured, growing supermassive black hole in NGC 1377?
With high resolution (0."25 × 0."18) ALMA CO 3-2 (345 GHz) observations of the nearby (D = 21 Mpc, 1" = 102 pc), extremely radio-quiet galaxy NGC 1377, we have discovered a high-velocity, veryExpand
ALMA captures feeding and feedback from the active galactic nucleus in NGC 613
We report ALMA observations of CO(3–2) emission in the Seyfert/nuclear starburst galaxy NGC 613, at a spatial resolution of 17 pc, as part of our NUclei of GAlaxies (NUGA) sample. Our aim is toExpand
The Molecular Wind in the Nearest Seyfert Galaxy Circinus Revealed by ALMA
We present ALMA observations of the inner 1' (1.2 kpc) of the Circinus galaxy, the nearest Seyfert. We target CO (1-0) in the region associated with a well-known multiphase outflow driven by theExpand
RESOLVING THE BRIGHT HCN(1−0) EMISSION TOWARD THE SEYFERT 2 NUCLEUS OF M51: SHOCK ENHANCEMENT BY RADIO JETS AND WEAK MASING BY INFRARED PUMPING?
We present high angular resolution observations of the HCN(1-0) emission (at ~1'' or ~34 pc), together with CO J = 1-0, 2-1, and 3-2 observations, toward the Seyfert 2 nucleus of M51 (NGC 5194). TheExpand
10 pc Scale Circumnuclear Molecular Gas Imaging of Nearby AGNs
We present the images and kinematics of circumnuclear molecular gas from 100 pc scale down to 10 pc scale in nearby active galactic nuclei (AGNs) using the Submillimeter Array (SMA) and the PlateauExpand
Winds of change - a molecular outflow in NGC 1377? The anatomy of an extreme FIR-excess galaxy
Aims. Our goal was to investigate the molecular gas distribution and kinematics in the extreme far-infrared (FIR) excess galaxy NGC 1377 and to address the nature and evolutionary status of theExpand
Hidden molecular outflow in the LIRG Zw 049.057
Context. Feedback in the form of mass outflows driven by star formation or active galactic nuclei is a key component of galaxy evolution. The luminous infrared galaxy Zw 049.057 harbours a compactExpand
