INTELLIGENT AGENTS ARE A MODELLING PARADIGM, BASED ON THE NOTION OF AGENTS WITH MENTAL STATES. THE AGENT METAPHOR IS NOWADAYS USED IN MANY RESEARCH AND INDUSTRY PROJECTS, AND SEVERAL GENERIC AGENT PLATFORMS ARE AVAILABLE.
