The aim of this study was to isolate the two major flavonoids Quercetin and kaempferol by P-HPLC from Azadirachta Indica leaves and its activity against clinical isolated MRSA strains. The flavonoids were separated and identified by analytical column, while isolated by preparative column Intersil ODS-3 C-18 and its composition as in analytical procedure. Antibiotics (Cefixime, Ceftriaxone, Erythromycin, Ciprofloxacin, Cephradine, Methicillin, Ampicillin, Levoflaxacin and Amoxicillin) and…

Evaluation of the effect of jasmonic acid elicitation on composition of pigments and biological activities in green callus of neem (Azadirachta indica)

This study was carried out with the aim of determining the effects of jasmonic acid (JA) elicitation on the bioactive pigments' biosynthesis and the antioxidant activities in green callus of

Synergistic effect of kaempferol glycosides purified from Laurus nobilis and fluoroquinolones on methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.

The effect of C2 and C3 with fluoroquinolones was found to be synergistic and the potentiation activity was observed with hydrophilic fluoroquolones, such as norfloxacin and ciprofloxACin, but not withHydrophobic quinolones.

Flavonoid Analyses and Antimicrobial Activity of Various Parts of Phaleria macrocarpa (Scheff.) Boerl Fruit

From the results obtained, P. macrocarpa fruit could be considered as a natural antimicrobial source due to the presence of flavonoid compounds.

Antimicrobial activity of flavonoids

Antimicrobial effects of Finnish plant extracts containing flavonoids and other phenolic compounds.

Comparison of antimicrobial efficacy of propolis, Morinda citrifolia, Azadirachta indica, triphala, green tea polyphenols and 5.25% sodium hypochlorite against Enterococcus fecalis biofilm

Propolis and triphala were found to be as efficacious as NaOCl and the use of herbal alternatives as root canal irrigation solutions might prove to be advantageous considering several unfavorable properties of NaO Cl.

Medicinal properties of neem leaves: a review.
