For the isolation of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies different high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and high performance affinity chromatography (HPAC) methods were investigated. Specially designed "mixed-bed" ion-exchange and hydroxylapatite columns as well as hydrophobic interaction columns were efficiently applied to the isolation of monoclonal antibodies. When these methods are used for the isolation of polyclonal antibodies from antiserum, the sample has to be pre-treated, e…

Immunoglobulin G in Platelet-Derived Wound Healing Factors
A method using a reformulated lysis buffer followed by size exclusion chromatography and affinity chromatography to extract, identify, quantify, and purify IgG from activated platelets, which may be useful in the management of skin ulcers in the early phase of wound healing.
Receptor inhibition by immunoglobulins: Specific inhibition by autistic children, their relatives, and control subjects
The hypothesis that autoantibodies to 5HT1A or 5HT2 receptors are characteristic of autistic disorder was not supported and the means of percentage inhibition of DPAT binding of parents, children with autistic disorder, siblings, or unrelated controls were studied.

Unspecific binding of group B streptococcal cocytolysin (CAMP factor) to immunoglobulins and its possible role in pathogenicity
Tissue sections of liver or spleen from mice infected with a lethal dose of GBS revealed the presence of protein B together with large numbers of cocci when stained by the peroxidase method using specific antibodies raised against purified protein B in the rabbit.
