The antioxidative activity of an ethyl acetate extract from Aspergillus terreus LS01was evaluated using various in vitro assays: 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), hydrogen-peroxide-scavenging free radical scavenging, and β-caroten-linoleat model assay and the antioxidants in the extract were isolated and identified. Silica gel column chromatography was used to separate the extract into five fractions (F1-F5). Fraction 3 possessed significant antioxidative activity with an IC 50 of 19.91μg… Expand
Antidiabetic and Antioxidative Activities of Butyrolactone I from Aspergillus terreus MC751
Abstract— The bioassay-guided isolation and purification of an ethyl acetate extract of Aspergillus terreus MC751 led to the characterization of butyrolactone I as an antidiabetic and antioxidant.Expand
Unveiling the dermatological potential of marine fungal species components: Antioxidant and inhibitory capacities over tyrosinase.
TLDR
A correlation between total phenolic contents of the extracts confirmed that phenolic compounds play an important role in antioxidant as well as antityrosinase activity of the marine fungal extracts and can be viewed as new potential anti-tyrosinases and antioxidant resources. Expand
Screening of Marine-Derived Fungi Extracts as Antioxidant, Tyrosinase Inhibitor, and Antiglycation
Marine-derived fungi are of great interest as new promising sources of bioactive secondary metabolites. The aim of this study was to determine the antioxidant activity, tyrosinase inhibitor andExpand
Chemical Composition of Aspergillus creber Extract and Evaluation of its Antimicrobial and Antioxidant Activities
TLDR
A. creber extract was shown a potent antioxidant activity and a high level of phenolic compounds by recording 89.28% scavenging effect for DPPH free radical, 92.93% in ABTS assay, and 85.76 mg gallic acid equivalents/g extract in Folin-Ciocalteu assay. Expand

Effect of salinity medium on antioxidant and antidiabetic activity marine endophytic fungus of asperegillus elegans ptf 9
TLDR
The effect of medium salinity on antioxidant and antidiabetes activity of mycelium and filtrate ethyl acetate extracts of A. elegans PTF9 and addition of salt reduced the antioxidant activity, but not the antidi diabetes activity. Expand
Effect on α-glucosidase inhibition and antioxidant activities of butyrolactone derivatives from Aspergillus terreus MC751
Butyrolactone I and II from Aspergillus terreus MC751 as well as three synthetic butyrolactone I derivatives were assessed for α-glucosidase inhibitory and antioxidant activities. Butyrolactone IExpand
Phytotoxic metabolites from Neofusicoccum parvum, a pathogen of Botryosphaeria dieback of grapevine.
TLDR
Analysis of the brown stripes of grapevine wood from plants showing botryosphaeria dieback symptoms revealed the presence of two of the isolated phytotoxins, the most abundant metabolite. Expand
A new benzophenone with biological activities from metabolites of butyrolactone I in rat faeces
TLDR
The metabolism of butyrolactone I in male Wistar rats was investigated by characterising metabolites excreted into faeces, and the new compound V1 and known compound V2 showed significant free radical scavenging ability and strong inhibitory activity against Staphylococcus aureus. Expand
