The extracellular form of cellulosome-type multienzyme complex of thermophilic Bacteroides sp. strain P-1 which was isolated from the anaerobic digester, is described. Multienzyme complex was isolated from the culture supernatant by an adsorption-desorption affinity chromatography on microcrystalline cellulose.
