Isolation and physicochemical characterization of luteinizing hormone from human pituitary glands.

Abstract

Luteinizing hormone containing 8.9 NIH-LH-Sl units per mg was isolated from human pituitary glands by isoelectric focusing in a sucrose gradient containing carrier ampholytes.
