Abstract

From 3-methoxyphenol-grown cells of Acetobacterium dehalogenans, an inducible enzyme was purified that mediated the transfer of the methyl groups of veratrol (1,2-dimethoxybenzene) to a corrinoid protein enriched from the same cells.
