BACKGROUND In patients with unresectable pulmonary metastases from sarcoma, systemic chemotherapy has had limited efficacy possibly because of dose-limiting toxicities. Isolated lung perfusion is an alternative method of delivering high-dose chemotherapy to the lungs while minimizing systemic toxicities.
