The purpose of this study was to determine the therapeutic efficacy of different treatment strategies, namely chemotherapy, allogeneic and autologous bone marrow transplantation (BMT), for extramedullary relapse of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in children in second or subsequent remission.
