Irwing and Lynn explicitly claim to have identified a sex difference in IQ among university students1. They now counter2 my criticism3 of the flawed methodology upon which their conclusions are based and claim that an estimate of what this difference may actually be is irrelevant.
Sex Differences in General Knowledge: Meta-Analysis and New Data on the Contribution of School-Related Moderators among High-School Students
TLDR
A meta-analytical aggregation of available results regarding sex differences in general knowledge and investigating the psychometric properties of the General Knowledge Test yielded no evidence of biologically differentiated interests, but of a specific interest in the humanities among girls suggest previous research likely overestimated sex differences. Expand
The role of height in the sex difference in intelligence.
TLDR
The correlation between height and IQ and the female advantage in intelligence persist even after the authors control for health as a measure of genetic quality, as well as physical attractiveness, age, race, education, and earnings. Expand
The 'Vampires in the Sacristy': Feminist body theory and (socio)biological reductionism into the 21st century
What happens when feminist body theory and reductionist theories of biological sex difference are brought together? In this work I take as my starting point the increasing ubiquity of appeals toExpand
Intelligence is negatively associated with the number of functional somatic symptoms
TLDR
Intelligence is negatively associated with the number of FSS in the general population, and part of the association of intelligence with FSS is explained by a more unfavourable work situation for adults of lower intelligence. Expand
Whole Brain Size and General Mental Ability: A Review
TLDR
The brain size/GMA correlations with age, socioeconomic position, sex, and ancestral population groups are described, which provide information about brain–behavior relationships and from an evolutionary and behavior genetic perspective. Expand
A systems biology approach to identify intelligence quotient score-related genomic regions, and pathways relevant to potential therapeutic treatments
TLDR
A comprehensive investigation of 158 IQ- related genes selected from the literature revealed several testable genes and processes related to IQ scores, but also have potential therapeutic implications for IQ-related mental disorders. Expand

Intelligence: Is there a sex difference in IQ scores?
TLDR
It is believed that the principal error of Blinkhorn's criticism is that he does not consider the result in the context of several other studies showing that adult males have an IQ advantage of around 4–6 IQ points. Expand
Intelligence: A gender bender
The conclusion of a number-crunching exercise on various data sets is that male university students have significantly higher IQs than their female counterparts. But the methodology used is deeplyExpand
Sex differences in means and variability on the progressive matrices in university students: a meta-analysis.
TLDR
A meta-analysis of 22 studies of sex differences in university students of means and variances on the Progressive Matrices disconfirm the frequent assertion that there is no sex difference in the mean but that males have greater variability. Expand
Sex differences on the progressive matrices: A meta-analysis.
A meta-analysis is presented of 57 studies of sex differences in general population samples on the Standard and Advanced Progressive Matrices (SPM and APM, respectively). Results showed that there isExpand
