Metallic iron clusters dilutely supported in zeolite NaX have been studied by magnetization, ac susceptibility, and transmission electron microscopy. Their behavior is superparamagnetic at high temperatures with negligible intercluster interactions and the cluster magnetic moments become blocked at low temperatures. From the ac susceptibility data, at frequencies between 1 Hz and 1 kHz in the temperature range 1.8–300 K, the distribution of activation energies has been determined. The results…

Magnetic properties of Ni2+ clusters in NaY zeolite
We have investigated the magnetic properties of Ni2+ exchanged NaY zeolite by using a direct current magnetization technique. At T>5 K, the M vs H/T curves superimpose and these curves could be
Study of superparamagnetic clusters in Co2+-exchanged NaY zeolite
Magnetic properties of Co2+-exchanged NaY zeolite have been investigated using a dc magnetization technique. In the presence of low applied magnetic fields, a difference between zero-field-cooled and
Superparamagnetic particles in ZSM-5-type ferrisilicates
As-synthesized, low iron content, ferrisilicates of ZSM-5-type contain well-separated Fe(III) ions in a tetrahedral environment and display paramagnetic behavior. After hydrothermal treatment, the
Local structure and magnetic properties of cubic iron oxide nanoparticles formed in zeolite as deduced using Mössbauer spectroscopy
Local structure and magnetic properties of cubic iron oxide nanoparticles as prepared in zeolite matrix have been studied in a detailed manner using Mossbauer spectroscopy. Superparamagnetic
Iron-containing nanocomposites based on ZSM-5 zeolite
Here we report synthesis and investigation of Fe/ZSM-5 magnetic nanocomposites. Intercalation of iron was performed by ion-exchange procedure and by impregnation of ZSM-5 zeolite in H+ form by
Magnetic properties of hydrothermally synthesized greigite (Fe3S4)- II. High- and low-temperature characteristics
SUMMARY The magnetic behaviour of hydrothermally synthesized greigite was analysed in the temperature range from 4 K to 700°C. Below room temperature, hysteresis parameters were determined as a
