Iontophoretic local anesthesia for conjunctival surgery.

An iontophoretic unit, originally designed to deliver local anesthesia to the tympanic membrane, has been adapted for use on the tarsal conjunctiva before excision of conjunctivolithiasis plaques and other intra- and subconjunctival lesions.
