We examined the inhibitory effects of curcumin and tetrahydrocurcumin (THC), one of the major metabolites of curcumin, on the lipid peroxidation of erythrocyte membrane ghosts induced by tertbutylhydroperoxide. The results demonstrated that THC showed a greater inhibitory effect than curcumin.
