We have reported that prostaglandin F2(alpha) (PGF2(alpha)) activates p44/p42 mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase in osteoblast-like MC3T3-E1 cells, and that p44/p42 MAP kinase plays a role in the PGF2(alpha)-induced heat shock protein 27 (HSP27).
