The purpose of this article is to investigate the shielding performance of the B2O3-Bi2O3-ZnO-Li2 O glasses as gamma shields. To this end, the attenuation parameters of the gamma-ray for B2O3-Bi 2O3-ZnO-Li2O glasses were calculated from the results of the simulation performed by MCNPX computer code. To validate the simulation, the calculated values of mass attenuation coefficients in the energy range of 200 keV to 1500 keV were compared with the XCOM data base.
