We present a comprehensive study of star formation toward the H II region Sharpless 155 (S155). Star-formation activities therein were investigated based on multi-wavelength data from optical to the far-infrared. The surface density distribution of selected 2MASS sources toward S155 indicates the existence of a compact cluster, which is spatially consistent with the position of the exciting source of the H II region, HD 217086. A sample of more than 200 sources with excessive emission in the…

Long-term V (RI) c CCD photometry of pre-main-sequence stars in the association Cepheus OB3

Results from optical CCD photometric observations of 13 pre-main-sequence stars collected during the period from February 2007 to November 2020 are presented. These stars are located in the

WIDE-FIELD INFRARED SURVEY EXPLORER OBSERVATIONS OF THE EVOLUTION OF MASSIVE STAR-FORMING REGIONS

We present the results of a mid-infrared survey of 11 outer Galaxy massive star-forming regions and 3 open clusters with data from the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE). Using a newly

Chandra Study of the Cepheus B Star-forming Region: Stellar Populations and the Initial Mass Function

The Cepheus B (Cep B) molecular cloud and a portion of the nearby Cep OB3b OB association, one of the most active regions of star formation within 1 kpc, have been observed with the ACIS detector on

Interpreting Spectral Energy Distributions from Young Stellar Objects. I. A Grid of 200,000 YSO Model SEDs

We present a grid of radiation transfer models of axisymmetric young stellar objects (YSOs), covering a wide range of stellar masses (from 0.1 to 50 M☉) and evolutionary stages (from the early

PROTOPLANETARY DISK EVOLUTION AROUND THE TRIGGERED STAR-FORMING REGION CEPHEUS B

The Cepheus B (Cep B) molecular cloud and a portion of the nearby Cep OB3b OB association, one of the most active regions of star formation within 1 kpc, have been observed with the Infrared Array

Multi-seeded multi-mode formation of embedded clusters in the RMC: Clusters formed in swept-up shells

This is the first of a series of three papers on clustered star formation in the Rosette Molecular Complex. Here we investigate star formation in the interfacing layers between the expanding Rosette

The discovery of low-mass pre-main-sequence stars in Cepheus OB3b

We report the discovery of a low-mass pre-main-sequence (PMS) stellar population in the younger subgroup of the Cepheus OB3 association, Cep OB3b, using UBVI CCD photometry and follow-up

Sequential formation of subgroups in OB associations

We reconsider the structure and formation of OB association in view of recent radio and infrared observations of the adjacent molecular clouds. As a result of this reexamination, we propose that OB

Molecular clouds and star formation. II. Star formation in the Cepheus OB3 and Perseus OB2 molecular clouds

Molecular clouds of mass approx.10/sup 4/ M/sub sun/ and linear extent approx.60 pc have been detected in the vicinity of the young OB associations Cepheus OB3 and Perseus OB2. These clouds have been

A REFLECTION NEBULA IN S 155.

The authors have detected the presence of a blue reflection nebula in the emission region S155. They suggest that the B star HD 217061 is the illuminating star of the reflection nebula, although the

THE SPITZER–WISE SURVEY OF THE ECLIPTIC POLES

We have carried out a survey of the north and south ecliptic poles, EP-N and EP-S, respectively, with the Spitzer Space Telescope and the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE). The primary
