Knowledge of actual flux-linkage-versus-current profiles plays an important role in design verification and performance prediction for switched-reluctance motors (SRMs) and permanent-magnet motors (PMMs). Various measurement methods have been proposed and discussed so far, but each method has its own limitations and constraints.
