We consider the inverse Seesaw scenario for neutrino masses with the approximate Lepton number symmetry broken dynamically by a scalar with Lepton number two. We show that the Majoron associated to the spontaneous symmetry breaking can alleviate the Hubble tension through its contribution to $$\Delta N_\text {eff}$$ Δ N eff and late decays to neutrinos. Among the additional fermionic states required for realizing the inverse Seesaw mechanism, sterile neutrinos at the keV-MeV scale…

Gauged inverse seesaw from dark matter
We propose an economical model addressing the generation of the Inverse Seesaw mechanism from the spontaneous breaking of a local U(1)B−L, with the Majorana masses of the sterile neutrinos
Robustness of ARS Leptogenesis in Scalar Extensions
Extensions of the Standard Model (SM) with sterile neutrinos are well motivated from the observed oscillations of the light neutrinos and they have shown to successfully explain the Baryon Asymmetry
EuCAPT White Paper: Opportunities and Challenges for Theoretical Astroparticle Physics in the Next Decade
Astroparticle physics is undergoing a profound transformation, due to a series of extraordinary new results, such as the discovery of high-energy cosmic neutrinos with IceCube, the direct detection

Leptogenesis from oscillations and dark matter
An extension of the Standard Model with Majorana singlet fermions in the 1–100 GeV range can explain the light neutrino masses and give rise to a baryon asymmetry at freeze-in of the heavy states,
Neutrino masses and mixings dynamically generated by a light dark sector
Abstract Neutrinos may be the harbingers of new dark sectors, since the renormalizable neutrino portal allows for their interactions with hidden new physics. We propose here to use this fact to
Sterile neutrino dark matter via GeV-scale leptogenesis?
A bstractIt has been proposed that in a part of the parameter space of the Standard Model completed by three generations of keV…GeV right-handed neutrinos, neutrino masses, dark matter, and baryon
Minimal dynamical inverse seesaw mechanism
We present a minimal model in which the inverse see saw is realized dynamically. The two unity lepton number-breaking term is induced at two-loop level and is naturally around the keV scale, while
Dark Matter in the minimal Inverse Seesaw mechanism
We consider the possibility of simultaneously addressing the dark matter problem and neutrino mass generation in the minimal inverse seesaw realisation. The Standard Model is extended by two
Leptogenesis in GeV-scale seesaw models
A bstractWe revisit the production of leptonic asymmetries in minimal extensions of the Standard Model that can explain neutrino masses, involving extra singlets with Majorana masses in the GeV
Dark Matter and the elusive Z′ in a dynamical Inverse Seesaw scenario
A bstractThe Inverse Seesaw naturally explains the smallness of neutrino masses via an approximate B − L symmetry broken only by a correspondingly small parameter. In this work the possible dynamical
Cold light dark matter in extended seesaw models
We present a thorough discussion of light dark matter produced via freeze-in in two-body decays A -> B DM. If A and B are quasi-degenerate, the dark matter particle has a cold spectrum even for keV
Inverse seesaw model with a modular S 4 symmetry: lepton flavor mixing and warm dark matter
In this paper, we present a systematic investigation on simple inverse seesaw models for neutrino masses and flavor mixing based on the modular S 4 symmetry. Two right-handed neutrinos and three
The seesaw mechanism in the presence of a conserved lepton number
Abstract We investigate systematically the possibility of having a conserved lepton number within a minimal extension of the standard model where the Higgs sector is not enlarged, but one
