We report a study of the invariant mass distribution of jet pairs produced in association with a W boson using data collected with the CDF detector which correspond to an integrated luminosity of 4.3  fb(-1). The observed distribution has an excess in the 120-160  GeV/c(2) mass range which is not described by current theoretical predictions within the statistical and systematic uncertainties. In this Letter, we report studies of the properties of this excess.

This note presents a study of the invariant mass distribution of jet pairs produced in association with one identified lepton and missing transverse energy with the ATLAS detector in proton-proton

W+ jets in pp collisions at 7 TeV with ATLAS

Measurements of differential cross-sections of W boson production in association with jets, and jets containing b hadrons are presented. The measurements are based on 35 pb − 1 of pp collisions at

W plus two jets from a quasi-inert Higgs doublet

We show that, the result recently reported by the CDF collaboration showing an excess in the invariant mass distribution of jet pairs produced in association with a W-boson can be explained by a

Experimental proposal to study the excess at Mjj=150 GeV presented by CDF at Fermilab

We propose an experimental test to verify the unexpected excess at Mjj=150GeV presented by the CDF collaboration in the invariant mass distribution of jet pairs produced in association with a W

V+jets production at the CMS

Measurements of Vector Boson production in association with jets are pre- sented, using p-p collision data at √ s = 7 TeV. The measurements presented include Z + jets azimuthal correlations, event

Dijet Signature of Low Mass Strings in the Early LHC Data

We have examined the dijet production at the LHC as a hint to discovery of string Regge excitations of Standard Model particles. If the fundamental string mass scale is in the TeV range, the

A search for a dijet resonance with an invariant mass in the range between 130 and 300 GeV is performed in the processes pp → W j j + X with W → ℓ ± ν and pp → Z j j + X with Z → ℓ + ℓ − ( ℓ = e , µ

The CDF dijet excess from intrinsic quarks

The CDF Collaboration reported an excess in the production of two jets in association with a W . We discuss constraints on possible new particle state interpretations of this excess. The fact of no
